God provides!

I have been blessed over and over seeing the aroma of Christ in how people have given financially and supported me so far in this venture. Individuals and churches have been so incredibly sweet in their willingness to partner in this work with me. A few people expressed doubts as to the likelihood of raising enough money in “today’s economy”. But what is America’s economy next to the power of the living God? And the love of his people? Nothing at all. I now have around $11,000, which is probably enough for the whole trip and time in Togo. This was not a difficult accomplishment for God. I have been stretched in the process, that’s certain. But I have known from the beginning that God is all-powerful and that he had opened the doors so far for me to go to Togo next year, and that he would open this door as well. Praise God!

A note about my life between now and my departure date of August 23rd: I am currently looking for a job in Searcy, Arkansas for the summer. I have a place to stay with my wonderful friend, Becky (who also happens to be my brother’s girlfriend) and a wonderful church in Searcy along with my sister and some good friends. I also hope to sell some paintings. I will be back to Searcy on June 2nd, after visiting my sister, Leanne, in Monterey, Mexico where she works at the consulate for the State Department.

Praise: All my funds!
